Community Living & Health
Axiom Plus Architects has and continues to work closely with Scouts Victoria. The philosophy of their projects was to create a Multipurpose design solution, flexible enough to use on several sites across Victoria and form part of the rebranding for Scouts Victoria. The establishment of a new permanent home for Alexandra Scout Group is a key priority in the roll-out of Scouts Victoria’s Growth Strategy for Reginal Victoria. Scouts Victoria intends to shift community perception of Scouts halls to be Scout and Community Activity Centres where the facility is seen as the "community hub" that is locally owned and managed by the community. The new facility in Alexandra will begin a rebranding opportunity for Scouts Victoria and will also leverage opportunities for the broader community in the provision of upgrading community infrastructure. The aim is to adopt the same principals on sites in Ballan, Narre Warren, Edgar Creek, Aintree and Lakeside Pakenham with more sites to follow...
Axiom Plus Architects also has extensive experience in the development of aged care facilities. The facility in Vermont South now known as 'Victoria Grange' creates multi-purpose living accommodation that would allow retiree couples to live out their lives together even in the event one should require a higher level of care. The development/project provides a variety of living options while maintaining a community atmosphere throughout the different levels of aged care needs. The development fused a classic Victorian setting, whilst incorporating luxury features rarely seen in aged care facilities. Adopting this architectural elegance to the design was vital in creating a warm and welcoming appeal to the residence.
Axiom Plus Architects is also working together with The Salvation Army of Victoria as well as Eastern Health to assist with upgrading their facilities and the redevelopment over multiple sites.
